Emmanuel Sanchez Monsalve is a New York–based photographer, raised in Miami by Colombian immigrant parents. With a background in dance and a strong connection to fashion, his work explores movement, identity, and cultural nuance through a distinctly Latin American lens.

Since moving to New York in 2015, Emmanuel has developed a visual language that is rooted in both film photography and digital imagery, often centering on stories of representation through intentional casting and storytelling. He has photographed global figures including Zoe Saldana, Shakira, Karol G, Bad Bunny, America Ferrera, Anitta, Ricky Martin, Rauw Alejandro, and Belinda — among many others. His commercial and editorial collaborations include brands such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Fear of God, Hugo Boss, Jordan Nike, Zara, and Coach, and publications like Vogue MexicoHarper’s Bazaar USWSJThe CutElle USCulturedi-D and CR Fashion Book.

In 2024, Emmanuel photographed one of Vogue Mexico’s September Issues — a tribute to Colombia and one of the most meaningful projects of his career. In 2021, he shot an editorial for Elle US featuring Joan Smalls and Manuela Sánchez, celebrating and highlighting Latin American designers including Narciso Rodriguez, Johanna Ortiz, Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, Maria Cornejo, Kika Vargas, Silvia Tcherassi, and Jonathan Cohen.

Emmanuel was also recognized as part of the New Wave: Creatives at the 2022 British Fashion Awards, honoring global talent shaping the future of fashion.
